Classes

Group classes are small. Classes are 75 minutes in length. They begin with a short talk, which may include a quote or a bit of yoga philosophy. This sets the theme for the class.

We each set our intention for the practice. Classes include meditation, the yoga postures (asana), the breathing (pranayama) and of course final relaxation (Savasana). Generally classes are gentle to moderate, always coordinating movement with breath. I often weave in restorative or Yin type of poses as well as easy Vinyasa flows.

In addition I teach private and semi private classes. Again, these classes are based on the individualized needs of the person. Since I have a nursing background, I offer health and nutritional counseling. I have practiced meditation for many years. I provide instruction in several types of meditation including metta and mindfulness based practices.
